Founded as a state company in 1948, the spring factory worked as a subsidiary of the famous Hungarian Steel Works until 1986 when it became independent. Since 1993 the company has been in 100 % private ownership.

Close to the main traffic vein between Budapest and Vienna, the manufacturing site is situated outside the town of Tatabánya, in a most picturesque surrounding. Working with 80 employees, Tatabányai Rugógyártó Kft manufactures all sorts of technical springs and wire forms and supplies these to the automotive and machine industry as well as to manufacturers of instruments and household appliances.

Since privatisation, the company has undergone significant changes in both quantitative and qualitative terms. Through great efforts it introduced a quality assurance system according to ISO 9002 in 1996 and ISO/TS 16949 in 2004.

Today the company is determined to continously improve the quality of its products, its flexibility and customer service through trainings and technical investments.
